High School Assemblies
Cary Trivanovich's half performance/half
message is a staple on the high school
assembly circuit across America, with
appearances at thousands of high schools
throughout virtually every state.
"Over
the past 20 years I have had the
opportunity to see Cary perform for
dozens of student assemblies,
leadership conferences and theatre
festivals. Cary's hilarious and
inspirational performance and
heartfelt message captivate every
audience he addresses. His timeless
performance of "The Date" has our
students and staff members laughing
hysterically, while his very
touching performance of "The Gift of
Life" moves us to tears.
His assemblies are by far the most
popular at our school, and my
students receive his message as they
would from a friend."

Choose Character Over Bullying
Cary's most popular message is aimed at changing hearts
about the sensitivity and well-being of others. Focusing in on
both school and cyber bullying, Cary exposes the self-centered mindset
of bullying. He encourages the bullied students'
self-esteem, giving them helpful and practical advice,
and inspires all with his very positive Peer
Leadership message described below.
This message
can de-emphasize the word "bullying"
if you like, simply to avoid it as an overused
expression.
Peer Leadership
Cary's life was changed by the student leaders of his
school
who demonstrated unselfish
and giving character.
Likewise, Cary relates to students how they can impact the lives of
others.This message
focuses onthe significance that a student can
exemplify to their peers, simply by exhibiting
unselfish, giving qualities of young leaders.
Drug Awareness
Ideal for
Red Ribbon Week, Cary's story of his
sister's high school drug use is moving and effective. This
message includes what the consequences of drugs can be, reasons teens
take drugs, tactics of people who sell drugs, and motivation to help friends who
are dabbling in drugs. Culminates with Mr. Trivanovich's dramatic
closer on The Preciousness of Life.
Excellence/Potential
A positive message
encouraging students about their potential for great achievement by
pursuing their dreams with excellence (also tailored for Renaissance
reward assemblies).
The Ideal Length of Cary's High School Assemblies
is 50-55 minutes, although flexible and
can adapt to a shorter or longer timeframe.
(Mid/elementary assemblies are shorter).
